I’m struggling on a rating for this book. It was a long audiobook and sort of fast paced but all the details were necessary to get to the climax of the story.
The beginning pulled me in from the brief sample I listened to, the middle lagged some with all the details, but once I got towards the end of the book… wow!!
I saw a review saying that the challenges were boring, and they kind of were, but beyond the challenges, there was so much more going on! It was definitely worth it to me to stick it towards the end to get to the nitty gritty. And the reveals, wow! They were definitely a lot darker than I had imagined. And I hadn’t expected some of the twists, either.
Overall, I’m happy I took a chance on listening to this book that I didn’t even know about until listening to the sample.
