For a book promising dinosaurs, the dinosaurs showed up too late in my opinion. It was over a third into the book before we even reached "The Land That Time Forgot", then it took the characters a while to start exploring the land. So it made all the events that happened on the island feel rushed compared to the first third of the book.

Edgar did Nops dirty by getting rid of him off-screen. I am honestly reading the sequel "The People that Time Forgot" right away since I am curious to see if Nops is going to return or if Edgar really killed off the dog by just saying he disappeared one night.
