One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware
4.0
Ruth Ware is an author that has been pretty hit or miss for me, but I realize now that I prefer her audiobooks over reading in print. I think the narration really draws me in more so than my own brain when I’m reading and I feel like if I read this, I might not have enjoyed it so much.
I really liked this one!
I love a good survival story and the journal entries threw me for a loop and kept me running through ideas the entire time. Like what on earth? I think a lot of people will say this was predictable, but I felt very entertained and intrigued by what was happening and why, wondering how these people would make it off the island and how the accounts of what was happening could vary so much person to person. I loved the reality show beginning and the violent quest for survival and water that it turned into.
I’m a sucker for the breakdown of people in difficult situations (I’m a Stephen King reader after all) and this didn’t disappoint. I recommend the audiobook!
