If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane
3.0
I found the beginning of this book really slow and it took me a while to get into, but once Laurie and Jamie started "going out" the book got more interesting. There were just a lot of flashbacks at the beginning which I guess are important but make the flow of the book kind of awkward.
Also there wasn't as much romance as I was expecting. Laurie was a really likeable character and her development is great throughout the book, but that meant that the book was less focused on her "relationship" with Jamie, and more on her personal development. I suppose it was just a bit more slow paced than I'm used to. The ending was pretty rushed, but I didn't mind that too much because that's pretty common in romance novels.
