Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, Cristina Sparagana, Gianluigi Gasparini, Agnès Nobecourt

informative

3.5

I had this book on my tbr for a while and when my history teacher let us read something that had to do with a war we won't be talking in school, I choose this one.
I have, in fact, to say that I really liked the setting and how the character reacted to the Islamic propaganda. However, even tho I'm like the most anti-theistic person on the planet, I have to admit that, fuck, just bc she wanted to be free, the protagonist (and author of the story) was the LEAST LIKEABLE CHARACTER OF ALL. SHE GOT A MAN ARRESTED (AND PRESUMABLY KILLED) FOR A LIE.
NO. I couldn't stand Marjane in any way, loved the setting, hated the main character.
