Girls of Fate and Fury by Natasha Ngan
3.0
This book is the rightful conclusion to Girls of Paper and Fire - in a way that book 2 was not.
I dont know whose decision it was to make this a trilogy instead of a duology but this series would have been an all time favorite if book2 hadn't soured it so much for me.
The politics, the tension, the wit and the love in this book where amazing. The world Ngan has built is so vast and rich and beautiful i absolutely love it. I can see this world coming to life when I read the series - even things i don't fully understand or have a difficult time imagining (the Steel caste in particular) still manage to come to life in my head.
I absolutely adore the way the book ended in a way that felt very realistic. and i loved the final monologue at the end about birth blessings.
If you loved book one, you owe it to yourself to read this conclusion (but know book 2 is a bit of a slog IMO)
