I just got finished reading this book and it has left me speechless. The story itself was interesting, but in combination with the fleshed-out characters whom one empathised with an unforgettable reading experience emerged. I want to be honest, at first I didn’t quite know what to expect and when I impulsively bought the book I only noticed in hindsight the “sexy, dangerous, mystical” commentary on the cover which invoked the fear that I had accidentally bought an erotica novel of some sorts. I am glad that this was not the case. Anyhow, easily one of the best pieces of literature I have laid my hands on for quite a while. There are also few other works which nearly brought me to tears, the emotional rollercoaster was definitely unexpected as well.
Minor: Gore, Physical abuse, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Murder, and Pregnancy
