Varek & Juliette: OMG, I F*cking Loved This Book!!! 5 Stars

I have no idea how I happened upon this book, but I thank the gods that I did! What a book!

Everyone knows that I am a sucker for a good fated mates trope. I also love the OTTP Hero and who doesn't love a sweet, awkward heroine who finds herself and her purpose with the help of her mate! It makes me swoon and puts me all in my feels! This story delivered on every last detail!

Juliette was bullied at school and abused as a child by a man she thought was her father, a drunk who accused her of being a demon due to her eyes being different colors. His neglect was apparently due to his accusations of her being a demon for killing her mother (his wife) in childbirth. Juliette would soon find out that there was a grain of truth in his accusations.

Enter: Varek, the Demon King. Sexy, powerful, and a total Alpha. Varek received a mating mark twenty-one years prior on Juliette's birthday. Juliette has a matching tattoo... do the math and we discover along with Juliette that they are fated mates.

This is a love story. A true, beautiful, full-circled love story. We see Juliette transform from a sweet and insecure to an assertive, confident woman. Varek is patient and loving. He introduces her into his world and is so protective of her, my eyes misted at several parts in the book. You could feel the love between these two!

The author managed to capture and sandwich the meeting, courtship, coupling, traumatic moment, and resolution, complete with HEA perfectly. You get a full romance in 350 pages and the end will leave you satisfied and wanting more. The side characters were equally fascinating, and I yearn for more! I need Talon and Sasha to get stories, please!!!

I highly recommend this author and I have already begun to read her other books. She is quite the talent, and I can't wait to read more of her work.
