The Hooker and the Hermit by Penny Reid, L.H. Cosway
4.25
Okay, this book was SO CUTE. When looking at the title, I thought the hooker would be the heroine and the hermit would be the hero, but it’s the other way around! I didn’t know that hooker was a Rugby term 😂.
Annie was so relatable, and understandably closed off. And I have never met a hero that manifested his romantic relationship like Ronan Fitzpatrick 🤣. He was very upfront about liking Annie, and some of his lines had me giggling 🤭.
“Ah, we’re not strangers, Annie,” I whispered against her lips. “We’ve already shared a cozy elevator ride, I’ve cleaned your top, and you’ve sent me a very odd a picture of a question-mark clock. We’re practically dating.”
…
“There is nothing perfect about my face.”
I cleared my throat, trying to force the teasing back into my tone. “Your lips are perfect.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.” She rolled them between her teeth.
“You forget—I’ve kissed those lips, so now I’m an expert.”
