“The most important thing I’ve found though, is that without forgiving myself I don’t have the power to set things right again. And that atonement is the most important part of forgiveness after all.”
Little Red Shadow is the 2nd book in The Talented series. In this story, we meet Scarlett – one of the Talented gang member who is in undercover to help her friend whose been receiving death threats recently. She accidentally meet the handsome and flirty Benedict - the younger son of a Duke who she believed to be the assassin only to find out that he wasn't the one.
The story keeps me interested from the beginning until the end, with the incredible show of shadow power from Scarlett while fighting and escaping dangerous situations as well as figuring out the mystery behind her friend’s death threat.
I really like Scarlett and Benedict growing relationship throughout the story, with Ben’s flirting skill and his genuine actions toward Scarlett making it impossible not to fall for him.
It’s also nice to see the main characters from the previous book make an appearance (Nate and Contessa) by helping Scarlett and Benedict taking down another gangster called the Wolves.
Overall, this is a great sequel and I really enjoy my time reading this book.
I’m looking forward to read the next book in The Talented universe!
I received an advanced review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Huge thank you to the author and publisher!
