This was not the book I was expecting it to be. I devoured The Salt Path in a matter of days, and needed to know what happened next. I was absolutely fascinated by the promised rewilding of a Cornish farm - but that really didn't end up being what the book was about. I didn't mind, I still thoroughly enjoyed it - the same sense of wonder at the world despite everything, the tendrils of hope they felt.
I just would have loved more of both the re-wilding AND the Icelandic walk; this could have been two, more fleshed out, separate books.
I'm now 45th in line for Landlines on Libby so hopefully I'll get to read that too at some point next year
