I think I like torturing myself by reading again Paula’s novels!!
First of all I found it so stupid to repeat herself again and writes a novel with the same way of narration as the girl on the train
Second so many characters so I couldn’t easily remember them ! And all of them are so tangled together for nothing as Louis for example , she added her to the naarrators and we never knew where did she go in the nighttime Nel died !!
Patrick and Helen’s weird relationship, I don’t know if they were really in one !
Finally did really Patrick killed Loren or he said that to protect Sean?
I don’t like open ends but in this case it isn’t even open but the writer just wanted to stop there !
Finally why Paula for God sake always figuring your male characters with all this lowness and abjection and vileness !! No man is kind in her stories !!!
