“We’re all monsters now.” —Zoya Nazyalensky
even at leigh’s worst, this is still so much better than your general ya fantasy. anyway. if i wasn’t so thematically opposed to the king of scars duology, I’d venture to say that i would have enjoyed this book! conceptually—dragons! saints! political intrigue—it hits but as a continuation of the grishaverse it’s . . . well, it’s something else and that’s all i have to say about that because i’m not even gonna touch what’s going on with nina’s whole arc. i need more zoyalai tho
