"We are not quite novels. We are not quite short stories. In the end, we are collected works."

A.J. Fikry is the only book seller/book store owner on Alice Island.  A store he started with his now deceased wife - A.J. goes out of his way to avoid a lot of the people that visit the store. One night his prize possession  - a rare collection of works from E.A. Poe - goes missing.  With its disappearance, A.J. becomes more illusive until one day he finds a misplaced package in his store. This package will change his life in so many ways.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  It was a title I was not sure about when it was recommended.  Now this is a book I am sure I will never forget.  Gabrielle Zevin has found a way to pull at all of the emotions/feelings that encompass a magical novel.  Highly recommend to small book store lovers - and really all readers.

"No man is an island; every book is a world."
