This would be great not only for a first day of school type storytime, but also one about acceptance and differences. While everyone is unique and different, maybe what makes us different is actually useful and good so we should appreciate that. My one concern for storytime is that there are quite a few details that might be hard for that audience to "get" unless specifically pointed out by the reader.
