Ta-Nehisi Coates is perhaps better known for his non-fiction writing (and his work on the Black Panther comics.)
Last year I read Between the World and Me, which I loved, and while I am definitely interested in reading more of his non-fiction, I really hope he'll write more fiction too. While not an easy read, The Water Dancer pulled me in from the first page and hasn't let go of me since. The story, the writing, his use of magical realism.💙
