⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD!
If I hear this guy say “me” one more time, I’m going to chuck him into a highway.
Basically from the start the Hero’s POV is “oh poor me, she did it to me, me, me, me” and oh my god I have never been more frustrated.
The heroine was left alone by Mr. Me over there and then he’s hurt she’s hurt and leaves him. Mind you the Heroine has some deep-rooted trauma with relationships and Mr. Me is just making it worse.
I won’t even talk about how already at 3% into the book I was done with the guy. He treated Heroine like absolute shit for being a mother to kids that are not his—which is absolutely and incredibly insane— and saying “she deserves it” for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and then he’s surprised she won’t talk to him.
Let’s also talk about how when they’re having a conversation about what happened when they fell out. For context, she had a kid with her next boyfriend about two years after their fallout and as she’s explaining how him disappearing after she told him she was pregnant—to which by the way he accused her of planning it and trapping him— Mr. Me says “How do you think that made me feel?”
Now, who the fuck asked you?
She unfortunately had a kind of miscarriage making her lose the baby right after telling him to which he said “I mourned you and him for an entire year!”
*cue cricket sounds*
Wow a whole year. 365 days. Congrats.
Now, I would feel kind of bad were it not for the fact that he became condescending and telling her “she moved on pretty fast” for having a kid after two years with another dude. Boy let me tell you, I wanted to strangle his withered soul out of him.
After he accused her of lying, trapping him, and disappeared while she had to got through that alone and with absolutely no family and no friends. Yeah I feel real bad for you, mate.
Anyway can you tell I didn’t like it?
