Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

2.0

Contrary to what most critics said, I found this difficult to get through. (In fact, I'm giving up on it about two thirds of the way through.) While it's an interesting story with a lot of potential, the plot moves too slowly, and I did not really "get" or empathize with any of the major characters. I haven't read any of Adichie's other novels and only know her from that famous TED talk and the latest controversies, but since I found her quite persuasive and eloquent there, I'm a little disappointed with this piece of her Ĺ“uvre.
