Okay but too long
I thought humanoid spider alien romance? Interesting! It was actually really cute. It was about 100 pages too long, but I'm assuming that's because it's on Kindle Unlimited and wanted more page reads. I would say that definitely did the story a disservice. I skipped through most of the last 40 pages and could have skipped more and feel like I didn't miss anything.
The romance is sweet but Ketahn's possessiveness hurts it a little. That's exactly what the queen wanted to do to him. He just got lucky that Ivy was into it otherwise it wouldn't have been nearly as pleasant to read.
I wish there has been more interaction with others. Reading about them together was sweet but there was just so much of it. The only real conflict in this book was him trying to keep from having sex with her, which is kind of a boring main conflict. There was one set up for the queen but it wasn't explored much. I can tell it'll be the main conflict in the next one.
I had other little problems with it that I think could have been fixed with a shorter book. I will continue reading the series though!
