DNF at page 47.
I’m sorry, I can’t go on.
The way Quinn stalked Alina in the cafeteria just because he thought she was cute - and he never even realized it was creepy AF behaviour - was enough info in this boy to make me hate him. And the way he barely stood up to his “friends” when they were being jerks, calling her a cow and all. . .
I gave up when I read that the rebels are called the “Rebel Army Terrorist Sect”. Please. Find something more creative to spell out R.A.T.S. Are they an army or a sect? Are they rebels or terrorists? Choose one and be done with it.
I know it’s from another time. 2012 is a while ago. But if I’m not mistaken, that’s around the time The Hunger Games was big, and THAT was good dystopian. Breathe is just a very badly written try at YA dystopia.
