Xadiel & Isabella: I Liked Them But, I Expected More Heat

This is Book three in the Fate's Bite Series by Elena Reyes and I thought it was good. It runs on the same timeline as Book Two and we get to see exactly what caused the discord between Xadiel and Isabella. I felt for Isabella as her dreams were crushed when Xadiel rejected her. However, I was glad to see that it wasn't drawn out ad nauseum and the two were able to reunite.

I enjoyed the story and I'm really intrigued to see where they are going with this in the last book. I must say that I thought there would be more heated scenes between these two. Not because I was driven to read this book because of the smut, but you would think a wolf-shifter and a witch would have such passionate, raw-dawg scenes and they didn't. This was a true 180 to Theodore and Gabriella, who couldn't seem to keep their hands off each other. After all, they did stay locked up in a room for three days upon seeing each other for the first time! LOL

I'm curious to see how the series concludes and hopefully, we get to see Gabby and Theo again, as LITTLE LIES will always be my favorite!

Happy reading!
