Classic Haiku: The Greatest Japanese Poetry from Basho, Buson, Issa, Shiki, and Their Followers by Tom Lowenstein

informative lighthearted relaxing medium-paced

3.5

This book had a great introduction on the history of Haiku and some of the most prominent haiku poets. However I think the book could have been better organized. Rather than have all four poet profiles in the introduction it would have made sense to include those profiles before the poets haiku poems. The collection also seemed very skewed in how many poems from each poet were included. Overall an interesting read!
