The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
5.0
This book is a freaking masterpiece
(possible spoilers ahead)
I watched the movie when I was like 10 but reading the book felt like such a different and unique experience; I love the way that it is written, it made me connect with Charlie in such a special way, it felt intimate and raw and I think it fits perfectly with what this story conveys. Because of the amazing writing we could see Charlie's mental health deteriorating but we can also understand why some other people aren't aware of his situation and state.
I l0ve that all the characters do feel like actual teenagers and that Charlie is very emotional but isn't apologetic about it.
I think this is the perfect coming-of-age book and a must-read. Lots of TW for this one!
