After We Collided by Anna Todd
2.0
Ughhhhhhh haha I’m beating myself up because this series is awful like truly awful but I can’t stop reading it because the author is completely capable of writing a cliff hanger. I’m not sure if allowing the reader into the head of Hardin was supposed to make us like him more as a character or more empathetic but honestly it made me dislike him more when I learned exactly how he viewed Tessa and her relationships with other men even if they are just friends. There was an unnecessary love triangle because we all know that Tessa isn’t going to leave Hardin. Hardin is controlling and abusive and yet there is no repercussions for his actions. I wish that Todd focused more on addressing the unhealthy aspects of their relationship through therapy, intervention or something else. But she doesn’t which is truly disheartening. Unfortunately, the cliff hanger was interesting and I’ll probably end up listening to the next book on audio.
