This book was so good! I’ve played soccer since I was 3 and I went through ODP and all that so it felt very relatable. I also relate so much to Graces character in general from being injured and not telling anyone cause you think it’ll hurt the team more to even the potential for Autism cause girl seems to exude it! I really loved Grace and Phoebe dynamic and both characters are so believable and their chemistry is fantastic. I do feel like Phoebe would’ve been scouted for the national team sooner if she really was such a big shot but I still loved seeing a different path. The end made me cry because I too felt relief like Grace did since I was also doing new ways to do what I want recently. This was such a needed read right now I couldn’t have planned it better. Overall I loved this book and recommend it. I wasn’t prepared for how spicy it was going to be but it really was more than that so just be aware. There is some good representation in the book as well: lesbian, trans, adhd and autism(even if it’s only mentioned at the end).
