Given the blurb that described this book as "hilarious" and "laugh out loud funny" I was expecting more, certainly in the style of Richard Osman.  I would say it's vaguely light-hearted with a couple of humorous one liners from Aunt Carole.

Freya has spent 20 years avoiding her home town after a falling out with her antique dealing mentor.  Now her marriage is falling apart, her family home is for sale and she receives a call from her aunt to say her mentor is suddenly dead, and his solicitor is demanding her presence.

Arthur has set them up on a treasure hunt, with clues only Freya will understand, and as she attends an antiques trading weekend with a cast of dubious characters and tries to get to the bottom of what caused his death, we also learn more about the events of 20 years ago that led to their estrangement.

This was an interesting premise but we are expected to believe Freya was some kind of female Indiana Jones, and the other characters are often caricaturish, but the author shows promise and the hint at a follow up taking place on a cruise sounds fun
