Does It Hurt? by H.D. Carlton

Wow! This book took me by surprise. I almost didn’t read it because I had read another book by the same author and it wasn’t my cup of tea. This is my reminder to not write an author off because I didn’t like one of their books.
The book contains two main characters, Sawyer (a woman who is a fugitive from the law), and Enzo, who works in a shark research facility. It’s an enemies to lover’s romance that unfolds once they are plunged into dangerous situation. The book is a great balance between thriller and romance and kept me on the edge of my seat.
Overall, the book was fantastic and I could not put it down. I’m only knocking half a star off of my rating because I guessed several things that ended up playing out in the book, but that could be because I read a lot of thrillers and I seem to think of the most messed up scenarios!
Also, be sure to use that translate feature on the Kindle app. It’s gonna come in handy for this one!
