I really need to stop starting books without checking if it's a direct series or companion novel because once again... This is a book that ends on a cliffhanger 😭

This book follows Joe and Sam. Joe is Sam's brother's roommate in college. Joe tags along for Thanksgiving break and meets Sam, and from the start, there is that instant attraction between the two. There is a 3-year ish age gap (17/21) between the two, and they also don't acknowledge these feelings because Sam's brother is Joe's best friend.

I loved our characters, and I wish they got more time together. There was a lot of going in circles of the will they/won't they vibes and whether they would try to make anything work despite their distance and age. Joe knew what he wanted but he didn't communicate that much to Sam and I wish that he did. There was a lot of miscommunication, or lack of communication between our characters but when they were together I loved them!

I thought their connection was there and their intentions made sense. I can't wait to continue with the series and see what happens next for these characters.
