Magic or love?  Honoring your family or honoring yourself?  For Beatrice Clayborn, these are the hardest questions she will ever face.  As her sorcery grows stronger her loyalty to her family becomes weaker.

Beatrice enters courting season with one thing in mind - become a magi so that her father will not marry her off to p[ay for his debts.  Through twists and turns, new friends, and a growing love for someone, she is unsure if she will ever become the most powerful sorcerer.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!  It was another excellent selection from the Chloe Lukasiak Literati Book Club.  I am not sure I would have read it based solely on the cover, although that was beautiful!  I am beyond ecstatic that I gave the book a chance and began reading it.  Beatrice is a cleaver woman and someone everyone should have as a role model.

“If I can only use my magic when you deem it safe, does that magic belong to me, or you?”
