@whatkissreads told me this had similar vibes to Only Murders in the Building, so I was immediately sold. So, I was ecstatic when #NCBookLovers picked this for our September buddy read! Then, I found it while perusing my bestie’s bookshelf, and it felt like it was meant to be.
…and I’m happy to report that I adored it. I loved these characters! The book was utterly delightful. Just a group of retirees solving murders and constantly surprising each other (and the police) with their varied skill sets. The mystery kept me guessing, and I’m glad that it’s going to be a series. This group is way too fun.
Not gonna lie, there were definitely some discussions in the group chat about this being retirement goals. If I find myself solving murders in a swanky retirement village in 40 years’ time, I promise to report back. 😉
