While the pace is slower than I normally prefer, I very much like the mystical vibes and outdoorsy feel of the entire book. Mary's story and that of those immediately surrounding leave much to wonder about, chief among those questions questions being how many women faced fates like Mary's during the time of witchhunts in America and across the pond?
