"We'll find a happy ending to all of this. Just you wait."

WHERE DO I EVEN START !?!!! I loved this book, made me feels so many emotions I WAS OVERWHELMED.
it's truly a complete book it has everything and it takes its time to properly address every theme and plot it featured–the bar may be that low but I'm still liking it so much!

I appreciate every single aspect of this book: being lost in your 20s, grief, fear of love and being love, sometimes it became to real for me and I had to take a break lol. both pepper and opal where amazing! they completed each other in such a swift and natural way, just to start, they're personalities are polar opposites and it was so funny to read them fall in love with each other.

maybe the reason I'm not finding it five stars it's because of a video essay i recently watched (the problem with lesbian romance novels by a sunny book nook) and now I can't help but notice how the term lesbian doesn't exist basically. this is not an attack to the author or anyone who enjoyed the book, but still, it makes some noise to me so.. I'll leave it to that.

oh, the jokes? they were immaculate, flawless, definitely one of my favorite scenes of the story. every time opal made a joke it was the best thing I've ever read.
