Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren

“Falling in love isn't about who makes you feel the best, but who could make you the most miserable if they leave”
Ah, shit I really loved this one. I have that giddy feeling I get only after finishing a really great book. This book is everything I want in a new adult romance honestly. It had the perfect amount of romance, comedy, erotic scenes, great characters, just everything. This is book four in the Wild Seasons series and I think this book may or may not be my favorite. It might be tied with [b:Sweet Filthy Boy|18775297|Sweet Filthy Boy (Wild Seasons, #1)|Christina Lauren|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1395723782s/18775297.jpg|26751379] (the first book in the series which I also really loved), but there is just something about this book that I absolutely love.
Luke Sutter is Mia's ex-boyfriend (not just her ex-boyfriend, he was her first love and they have a really long passionate history together) and London is friends with Mia and their group obviously so it made things kind of interesting. I actually liked hearing more about Luke and Mia's story of them falling in love and growing up together. London is my favorite female character in this entire series. She is so bad ass and she doesn't take anyone's shit and she has been hurt before and she doesn't allow herself to be vulnerable. I was dying when Luke thought her name was Logan the entire first night they were hooking up and she didn't even correct him. She doesn't give a single shit and I think it's hilarious. Then I love how he proceeds to call her Logan for the rest of the book and it becomes a cute nickname only he calls her.
"A predictable life never changed anyone."
I love how sarcastic and cocky Luke is. He's the type of cockiness I actually like to see in male characters and Luke is so fucking swoon-worthy good lord. Like when he says: "If she's coming to a movie theater to be entertained, I'm going to show her the motherfucking Godfather." in comparison to his sex, it's so funny. I am a sucker for the "turning a fuck boy into a committed lover" trope in books and I feel like this book did that perfectly. I mean, shit one of my all time favorite movies is "Love & Other Drugs" and that's another scenario where a fuck boy falls in love with a girl who couldn't give two shits if he remembers her name. I don't know why I just really enjoy this trope. I also really loved Luke's relationship with his sister Margot and I love that Luke's character is so close with his family.I love all the scenes of them surfing when she's teaching him and they are trying to be just friends. I like how he says if he gets over his fear of the ocean then she has to get over her fear of roller coasters and go to Six Flags with him. I also adored that scene where Luke goes babysitting with her and they watch the 5 year old girl together. I am a sucker for seeing a grown man being adorable with little kids (especially little girls) and that whole scene was so fucking cute. She was playing with his hair and she held his hand while they watched Frozen and he fell asleep on London's shoulder. She kept mentioning the way Daisy's tiny little hand fit into his big hand and aslklajs that shit is so cute. I also love how Luke completely allowed himself to fall for her and he was always telling her he loved her even when she didn't say it back. Then at the end when he gets a new phone number because he knows she hates it when he's getting tons of texts from women all day long, that was so sweet and I totally knew he was going to do that. And when they were having sex at the end and she said she loved him too (finally) and he asked her to move to Berkley with him so he can finish his law degree, and she said yes. That was so cute. I love their banter about how he only eats one pop tart at a time and he gets salads with the dressing on the side and does he even have a real penis? It's just so funny and adorable. Also, in the epilogue when he mentions that he asks her to marry him all the time and she ignores him and distracts him with sex, that;s so funny and adorable. I love when guys are so over the top committed I think it's so sweet. I also love the final sentence in the book where he's like: "and then you'll marry me?" and she's like: "I hear they have roller coasters in Las Vegas" because it so perfectly ties in the Vegas wedding thing that happened in this series and her fear of roller coasters and it just hit me right in the FEELS.
This book just gave me a lot of FEELINGS and I love Luke and London and I don't want this story to be over. I'm not sure if this is the last book in the series or not but I really hope it isn't because I love this series. I'm going to have to pick up the other series written by Christina Lauren. As far as characters go, London is my favorite female character in this series, but I still think Ansel is my favorite male character, and then Luke is a close second.
