This was a light, fun read and the illustrations were so pretty and colorful! I'm really glad this is the first in a series because I definitely want to spend more time in this Hispanic-culture-influenced, fantasy world (!) and with these characters. Although the pacing isn't always perfect, I really do think the character interactions make up for it. Plus, I'm finding that I just really like graphic novels lmao
