The God Desire by David Baddiel
4.0
God Desire was not what I was expecting. I was expecting an essay citing different philosophers and theories convincing me that God does not exist. Instead, I read a personal, reflective, humorous essay explaining that although God doesn't exist, it would be great if He does, and all the reasons why.
Baddiel's writing is unexpectedly intimate and almost every line resonated with me. It's relatively short (though I read it as an ebook so the page numbers always change based on the orientation and size of the screen) but I advise reading it slowly.
There were some parts which stuck out to me; the concept of practice over faith, Humanity's desire for a God, and what happens to animals when they die? I'm still working on that one.
