This was such a fun, wonderful short story by Alyson Root! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and I will be reading anything she puts out into the world. This story was originally supposed to be part of an anthology that got scrapped because of the AC Adams/Adam Gaffen scandal. And I am VERY glad that Alyson decided to publish this story anyway because it is truly wonderful and deserves to be read! I was snickering and laughing out loud numerous times throughout this story. Kesley is a shy, anxious woman who manages to always epically embarrass herself when pretty women are around - especially her crush Olivia, who she’s not even sure plays for her team. A team she has only been a bench warmer for so far.
