Pulling Her Resources by Mia Sivan

It’s nice when a main character is not mainstream- in this case an older, divorced woman. Sivan has presented Dafna and all her insecurities in a fun and relatable way. She makes sense. This larger than average woman may be confident in her job and her looks, but her self worth has taken a hit. She’s not ready for another relationship, just a little fun on a night out.
As Dafna and Erez discover one another, they discover themselves as well.  Both have hidden away, and created walls around them. Through exploiting what they want from each other, they also discover what is important to themselves.
Perhaps the work situation resolved itself a little too easily. For all the tension and unease that was created by the issues uncovered through Erez’s research, Dafna simply made a demand and the issue went away.
