3.5 A high fantasy with a LOT of backstory. It’s interesting and has some great moments. However I found myself struggling through parts of it. Some characters were great some were super annoying. I feel some people will love this type of story and others will feel dragged down by it. I overall enjoyed it even though I almost dnf. I probably won’t read the second book though.
