Meet Me on Love Lane, Volume 2 by Nina Bocci
4.0
This is book two in the Hopeless Romantics trilogy and I really enjoyed Henry and Charlotte's story. I had been looking forward to learning more about Henry from book one and wasn't disappointed. He is the most endearing, thoughtful and sweet man.
Charlotte used to live in Hope Lake, PA, as a child, but was forced to move away with her mother when her parents' divorced. Her mother did not have any good things to say about Hope Lake, so when Charlotte returned "home" twenty-one years later to stay with her father, she was surprised to see how much it was different and thriving. She doesn't remember much about her time there. Her first introduction into the town was pretty funny. As was her grandmother, Gigi. She is a hoot--the funniest, sassiest granny in her 90's. Loved her character.
This is a love story, but it's more than that. It has a description as being a love triangle, but it's really not. There was only one man Charlotte is interested in. This is also a story of Charlotte finding her way and seeing where she belonged. This is such a sweet story.
Thank you to Gallery Books for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
