Blah blah blah I’m sure you’re like “wowwww not surprised she liked it!” But… you should be. Because not EVERY Tessa Bailey book slaps, but this one certainly does.
📕 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey
📙 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Big Shots character series. Book 2.
📗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: E-book on Kindle. Borrowed from Libby.
📘 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Sports romance
📔 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Single dad, sports (hockey), he falls first and HARD, vacation vibes, solid groveling.
📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Burgess needs help with his tween daughter, and Talulah needs a job and place to stay while finishing her degree. But it’s clear from the start Burgess can’t get the au pair off of his mind, even as he helps her heal from her past trauma.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: Hockey romance is my sweet spot… single dads are my kryptonite… and Tessa Bailey men are my Roman Empire.
If you told me I’d fall in love with a man named Burgess I’d cackle at you… but here I am. I loved every part of this book. I loved Burgess as a person, his inner monologue, his rude awakening. I loved his teammates just as much. I really felt connected with Talulah and her feelings throughout the book.
Probably my favorite part of this was the nearly 20% of groveling at the end. Tessa Bailey wrote an emotional breakup, and then tortured me for 100 pages of Burgess begging to be loved. I’m obsessed.
𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹: 3.5/5 🌶🌶🌶
📝 𝗔 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲… I’m shooooocked the next story in this is going to be about one of Burgess’ teammates and his (not official yet) step sister but I 👏 am 👏 here 👏 for 👏 it.
