The Alice Network by Kate Quinn

4.0

EXCELLENT novel! Kate Quinn did a wonderful job of building up the characters and I found myself so easily rooting for them!

With writing about WW2 and it being a sensitive, horrible part of our history, I can sometimes find the books overwhelming and disturbing. However, this novel follows a band of strong female characters as they work against the Nazi’s, and that really resonated with me. Often in war novels, the women are working to help the men who have been risking their lives - however, there were so many women working throughout the war, risking their lives and making choices that aided the war effort tremendously. Kate Quinn did an excellent job giving me group of women to admire.

I love a book with a strong female lead, and with this book being based around actual females within history and the heroic and dangerous steps they took to work against Germany during World War 2, it was not hard for me to devour! I’m on the hunt for some biographies now, and I’m looking forward to reading The Huntress!
