Out of Sorts: Making Peace with an Evolving Faith by Sarah Bessey
5.0
Perfect For Any Time
Chapter 1, sentence 1 made me scramble for my wallet, so I could purchase the book. Sarah Bessey speaks words of life, understanding, and thoughtfulness to anyone who has questioned everything about their faith walk (why am I still doing this anyway?) and struggled with the idea of religion versus relationship.
Having walked through a season where I wondered if I'd return to relationship with Jesus at the end of the hard times, I discovered this book to be the right mix of candor, story-telling, and you-are-not-alone. I thank Jesus that this book was available at just the time I needed to start reading it.
If you're feeling a bit lop-sided and life-confused, this book is for you.
Thank you, Sarah Bessey, for writing it for me and everyone else too.
