Wow. Just wow.
This book took me a while to read because the contents were heavy. This book brought out some intense emotions in me. The writing was impactful and honest, raw and vulnerable.
Despite being a work of fiction, it felt so real. Yara’s pain and anguish seeped from the pages. Her struggles and self-doubt ached in me as I read this. I felt like I was living Yara’s life through this and it was incredibly painful. But the relief I felt as she truly began to open up and become her authentic self was amazing.
