All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

4.0

I can't decide how I feel about the writing style of this author. At times the flowery language was beautiful and really felt like a fun contrast to the awful reality of war. For instance I have loved thinking of the different poetic meanings of of title throughout the book. What are the other forms of light he was referring to?

Other times I just wanted to get to the point of where the story was going and had a hard time focusing. Some great characters and the story was intriguing, I just felt like it took too long in general. Would still recommend.
