The way it took me close to 2 months to finish this…. 

Unfortunately this book simply didn’t work for me, unlike the rest of the series. I don’t remember the writing being as cringy in the other books, but I think I loved them and the characters so much that I was able to look past it.

I felt nothing for Ava and Matthew. I get they had history together, but I felt zero of their chemistry and was completely going through the motions reading their romance. I was so unphased by the 3rd act conflict too. I highkey think Matthew overreacted because he was mad Logan wanting to make moves on his girl without knowing Ava was his girl…. Because they MUTUALLY agreed to keep their relationship a secret…. Sooooo I was just over it. 

I enjoyed seeing Ava stand up for herself to her fam, and her dad >>>> king 👑 just like Logan Ward ♥️ He is genuinely my favorite fictional character/bf ever, and I loved reading about him again 🥹 honestly, he was the only reason why I kept reading because his scenes and cameos carried!!! Plus the minor Paige cameo in the beginning >>> we love to see it. Yes poor Logan with his stinging rejection, but I’m not sad because him and Paige are a major power couple and I will forever love them and their book 💜💜💜
