Ruined Hopes by L.A. Cotton

5.0

L.A COTTON HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!

I knew Ashleigh and Ezra's story would have a ton of angst based on the crumbs from the previous books and I was not disappointed at all. I'm completly obsessed with this series/universe and I never want to leave. This story is the perfect combination of love, friendship, family, sports, and growth. Both the characters go through something terrible yet find a way to rebuild. Ezra is tortured from his childhood trauma (being abused and abandonded) and struggles to accept affection and love. Ashleigh loses 10 months of her memory in a terrible accidence and the both of them feel like outsiders. Like they were left behind. I adore how Ezra's story is told and seeing him blossom was the most beautiful thing. I was sobbing when he finally accepted the Bennets as family and he realized that he deserved love. I fell in love with him and Ashleigh and watching them accept their love for each other made me so emotional. I was crying for hours reading this book in the best way possible. L.A. never disapoints and I cannot wait for her next release in this series!

Tropes:
