This book broke my heart so many times and yet reminds us that to love is to lose - there's frankly something quite beautiful about that.
The novel follows a love story between friends ... but it is not a romance. It is so much more. Glen takes care and detail to bring the reader on this story of a lost little girl struggling to define herself through an absence of traditional relationships, a little girl consumed by longing.
Glen's writing is melodic and poetic - it's beautiful to read. Although a long-ish book, it is never tiring and you cannot help but freverently read this novel.
This is a book which explores the complexity of relationships and how our approach to, and understanding of relationships change ad we mature. The female relationships are particularly enlightening - simply stunning to read.
