amazingly rich fantasy filled with characters possessing superhuman powers after being pulled from death back to life. at the heart of the book is a story of friendship and revenge but the tension and emotions pull the reader swiftly through the story making the book impossible to put down. each character is carefully constructed with their own set of flaws, qualities and talents (besides their superhuman abilities). i was completely sucked into the story and immersed in who would emerge victorious between the two men. hee writing is simple yet blisteringly effective making this a story one can speed through yet still become affected by it.
