Yellowface by R.F. Kuang

This book talked about friends who were like enemies. They weren't true pals—they took things from each other and made money from what they took. I rated this book 3 stars because it felt slow. The main character, who was white, took an Asian story and claimed it as her own. She even tried taking credit for kids' work until they realized she was stealing. Eventually, she confessed, feeling like she was losing her mind and thinking her dead friend was actually alive.
