Wow wow wow what a complex world sjm has built. I’ve heard this series is going to be quite long and with this book (and the next one) totaling about 800 pages each, there’s a LOT of ground to cover. I can see how this is more of an adult novel vs. TOG or ACOTAR given the depth.

While there’s many aspects to keep track of, I enjoyed this story that had many twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. 800 pages was a liiiiittle long for my liking BUT I think maybe the length reflects the attitude of the first half of the book (it’s giving Bella swan in new moon sitting in that chair as the seasons pass, u know?). Second half absolutely picks up and doesn’t stop until the end.

Characters are well-developed and I’m eager to keep following their stories in the series!!!
